I live in the UK. I dunno if I got what it takes to do this hike. Alone anyway. Just did some solo hiking in Scotland. But carrying that "the backpack" through America. I just can't. 😅

Court, congrats on your accomplishment. Hiking across the PCT is a life altering event. You crushed it! On a leveling comment, I'm astonished that this video has 10x the views as Jack's, who documented almost the exact same experience as a part of the same trail-fam, which is quite perplexing. Can anyone guess why?

I feel that same way that you feel about missing the trail about Fly Fishing. I feel like I am wasting life not being in the rivers trying to pit my wits against some fish somewhere. Or hunting for that matter. The thrill of the chase. It is wild.

love your shirt! i actually struggle with hiking fashion. in normal life i wear over-oversized streetwear and when i wear tighter fitting hiking clothes for hiking i feel like i am cosplaying a hiker and not being myself. i wonder what would be my ideal outfit...

yes! women's outdoor clothes are always some shade of pink/purple or mint green/aqua/teal. from every brand. men get orange, red, yellow, blue. i want those! who came up with this and why does it not change over the years? i would honestly love to know, why men get simple primary colors and women just some shades of pastels.

I recently found your video about the PCT, It brought tears to my eyes how you captured the trail in all its glory. I hiked the entire trail in 2020, the year of covid, many, many thx for bringing back such great memories of the trail! My Trail is - Dos Equis - meaning behind name, The Most Interesting Man Alive🤣 " Carpe Diem" 😎

There's something so self indulgent and escapist about this. Keep your hikes but maybe try volunteering/giving back if yiu have that much free time.

To cultivate non-self, carefree detachment, compassion and devotion to (universe, god, animals or guru) requires a spiritual practise. meditation, yoga unless you live in an environment that is already supporting this which in your case seem to be on the path in nature. This is what we learn to cultivate daily in Dzogchen Meditation, zen meditation, vipasanna meditation, and the kriya/patanjali yogas. Also duality is stored in memory. Memory is the environment you live in and go back to. objects, items, people, places etc. Changing all these places helps to create persistant change. Not changing any these and expecting change is like smoking a cigarette everyday and expect to be healthy

16 years ago we spent 3 years bike touring around the world. We felt the same when we returned home, lost, and without a purpose, just like you say, having to fit in to a ´normal’ life didn’t seem possible anymore. Thankfully we were able to create a simple life off the grid, run our own business and spend our weekends in the outdoors and a few months every year adventuring somewhere new. It took time to get here, but we found our balance, I hope you do too. 🙌
